Allied Gold denies PNG spill

Australian mining company Allied Gold has denied reports of waste is killing marine life in Papua New Guinea.

The waste from its Simberi mine is confined to an area on land and could not have affected sea life, Allied Gold’s head if Investor and Media Relations told the ABC.

He said the story is the result of  hysterical reporting in Papua New Guinea media.
