With the judges decisions handed down all there is left to do is chill the beer and champas for Australian Mining’s 10th annual Prospect Awards, being held at the Ivy Ballroom in Sydney tonight.
The Prospect Awards aim to encourage, recognise and reward excellence in the Australian mining industry.
A total of 15 awards will be up for grabs tonight and each will celebrate the achievements of the people and companies who have shown innovation and superior performance during 2012/13.
Editor of Australian Mining magazine Cole Latimer said the awards program is a great opportunity to give thanks to the resources industry.
“Tonight’s awards represent a decade-long commitment by Australian Mining to recognise, reward and celebrate the mining sector," Latimer said.
And with many big-name companies up for nomination- including Anglo, BMA, GlencoreXstrata, Rio Tinto and Sandfire Resources just to name a few – tonight’s awards dinner is set to showcase the who’s who of the mining world.
