A coal truck which rolled over in Newcastle on Tuesday afternoon has been cleared up.
The accident took place at 1:35pm, which caused coal, and 40 litres of fuel and hydraulic oil to be spilled across a high traffic road, requiring a 5 hour salvage and clean-up operation.
Fire and Rescue NSW closed the road until 6:15 in the evening to clear the debris, preventing commuters from using the road.
Fire and Rescue NSW said the driver of the truck was unharmed.
In February this year a coal train derailed in the Hunter Valley, which disrupted exports from the Gunnedah Basin.
