THE Western Australian Government is fast tracking the delivery of land to meet high demand for housing in the Kimberley region.
Civil works have already commenced on Stage 4 at LandCorp’s Lakeside Park development in Kununurra, following the successful Stage 3 ballot just three months ago.
Stage 4 was expected to bring a further 57 lots to the market by early 2008, while planning for Stages 5 to 8 was well advanced to help Kununurra to meet continued growth.
More land is also on the way with two duplex lots in Stage 3 expected to come to market for sale by design tender later this year.
In addition, planning is well underway for future stages that will create a further 240 housing lots.
The industrial release is an expansion of the existing Weaber Plain Road light industrial area and will cater for industry growth in the region.
