Monadelphous has been awarded a $260 million construction contract for Rio Tinto's Western Turner Brockman project.
The contract in the Pilbara is for the supply and installation of structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation workers for the construction of the mine's iron ore plant.
It is part of Rio's wider 360 million tonnes expansion plans.
Rob Velletri, Monadelphous' managing director, stated that "we are very pleased to have been awarded another important Rio Tinto iron ore project and to continue along our long standing involvement in the expansion of Rio Tinto's Pilbara iron ore operations".
The project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of this year.
