AUSTRALIAN miners will shed their locks to raise funds for Leukaemia research.
The 2008 World’s Greatest Shave Mine Challenge aims to raise funds for the NSW Leukaemia Foundation to provide support for patients with leukaemia and related blood disorders and their families.
Leukaemia Foundation CEO Peter Cox issued a challenge to companies to be brave and shave in an attempt to raise more than $100,000 for the Foundation.
The Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.
“Funds raised will ensure the Foundation can improve patients’ quality of life through personalised and practical care,” Cox said.
