Macmahon has awarded a three-year contract to Felix Group for the implementation of its vendor software across the contractor’s global operations.
The contract will see the software as a service (SaaS) company provide Macmahon with its vendor management and sourcing solutions, creating greater efficiencies and improving risk management.
Felix chief executive officer Mike Davis said the contract was important to the provider’s business plan.
“We are very pleased to have won this contract with Macmahon, a market-leading mining services contractor. While not financially material, this represents an important milestone for Felix as we continue to expand our platform into new sectors,” Davis said.
“Macmahon undertook a comprehensive process to select a suitable solution to digitise their source-to-contract processes and create efficiencies across their operations.
“We look forward to partnering together and delivering sustainable value to Macmahon.”
Macmahon operates throughout Australia and Southeast Asia, with key projects including IGO and AngloGold Ashanti’s Boston Shaker gold mine in Western Australia, BHP’s Olympic Dam poly-metallic operation in South Australia and Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara’s Batu Hijau gold mine in Indonesia.
At Felix’s half year results presentation, Davis said the company was hitting strong growth at the right time, as the mining and construction industry continues to look for ways to streamline and automate its processes in all aspects.
“We are excited by the continuing trend of organisations moving towards digitising the way they manage and engage with their third-party vendors to better understand supply chain risks,” Davis said.
“Felix helps provide access to the right quality suppliers, with the right experience; the Felix systems ask the right questions to ensure compliance, giving peace of mind for contractors and minimising headaches for suppliers.
“All of this helps achieve the right match between a contractor and vendor, and ultimately, a successful project.”
