Late model trucks at auction

RITCHIE Bros. Auctioneers will be holding its first 2008 unreserved auction in Australia on Tuesday March 18 in Brisbane.

The unreserved public auction will feature a wide variety of late- model transportation equipment, as well as a broad selection of industrial equipment.

Over 500 items will be sold on auction day, including many late model trailers and prime movers.

Some highlights will be a 2007 Freightliner 6×4 Prime Mover, four Kenworth Prime Movers from 2005, four from 2004, and four from 2003, as well as three 2007 Western Star 4800 FX 6×4 Prime Movers.

Trucks and equipment will continue to be added to the auction right through to sale day, and like every Ritchie Bros. auction, the Brisbane sale will be unreserved—meaning there are no minimum bids or reserve prices and every item will be sold on auction day to the highest bidder, regardless of price.

“We have a great selection of prime movers and industrial equipment for this auction,” said Warwick Mackrell, Ritchie Bros. Vice President — Australia and Asia division.

“It’s a public auction, so everyone is welcome to attend. Registration is free; all you need is photo identification to register. We encourage interested bidders to come to the sale site ahead of time to inspect the equipment before the auction. They can even bring their mechanic to the site with them.

“The most impressive aspects of this particular auction are how many late model prime movers we have and the number of quality items consigned to the auction. I think people should come here to see the great shape this equipment is in. We also have a great selection that features hundreds of items ranging from forklifts, to crawler tractors, to low loaders, to motor graders, to mini-excavators, to generators.”

The auction site is located at the corner of Burnside Road & Pacific Highway in Yatala (Brisbane), QLD.

The auction starts 8am.
