Kimberley skills workshop

KUNUNURRA TAFE in the Kimberley region of Western Australia has received a $1.25 million trade-training workshop upgrade.

The upgrade includes $2 million worth of new trade training facilities, including a new mobile training service.

An upgraded workshop features dedicated welding bays, grinding rooms, and a building and construction area, engineering area with metal presses, and an automotive space with a car hoist.

“There is now an opportunity for Kimberley TAFE to expand into a range of pre-apprenticeships such as carpentry and joinery, vehicle servicing, fitting and machining, and fabrication,” Western Australian premier Alan Carpenter said.
