SICK has released a photoelectric proximity switch with electronic adjustment of background suppression, and an I/O link.
The proximity switch includes a pressure-resistant metal housing that meets enclosure rating IP69k.
The product is immune to detergents, disinfectants, and lubricants, and operates from -40°C to 60°C.
The unit is also available with Teflon coating for extreme applications.
The switch is available with electronically adjusted foreground or background suppression.
Two indicator LEDs on the device provide information on the product’s operating voltage and light reception.
The switch includes an I/O link that can be parameterised and monitored remotely.
Settings and operating modes can be logged and stored, and viewed at any time.
A variety of mounting possibilities are available including a dovetail clamp or pivoting connection system.
