InEight has combined artificial intelligence (AI) and human intelligence (HI) to create its next generation planning and scheduling module, InEight Basis.
InEight Basis includes a risk management module, which helps to identify and measure project risk considerations that can impact on cost and schedules, offering greater certainty for users.
It has also merged AI with HI for the first time, combining historical project data and human expertise to create true risk intelligence.
InEight Basis offers users suggestions as to which risks and opportunities are likely to occur during a project, based on past information from similar projects, giving users invaluable insight of potential issues before the project encounters them.
InEight chief design officer Dan Patterson said Basis comes as close as planners can to predicting the future of a project.
“With Basis alone, planners can generate a fully risk-adjusted project plan at the onset, one that is a much more realistic model for and predictive outcome of the project’s future,” he said.
“With the advent of unstructured data storage, we can now store, and, more importantly, use AI to mine much richer and more varied types of historical data that give us more confidence in our forward-looking predictions.
“The more data you have, the more accurately you can predict the future.”
By using Basis, planners can spend up to 40 per cent less time building schedules, reducing the amount of time spent gathering team member feedback by up to 75 per cent.
“We are excited to share our latest innovation with planners, so they have an opportunity to see the level of value it can bring their process,” Patterson said.
