Australian Mining: What are your primary roles and responsibilities in your job? Give us a day in your working life.
Aaron Breiner: Coal handling and preperation. stockpile dozing and management, control room operations.
Australian Mining: What training/education did you need for your job?
Aaron Breiner: Working in and around various CHPP's for 7 years, Mangoola provided all additional training required for safe operations. Stockpile dozer training, CHPP process training, control room training, as well as training in site rules and procedures.
Australian Mining: How did you get to where you are today? Give us a bullet point career path.
Aaron Breiner: 8 years as a contractor throughout the Hunter Valley in CHPP work, started at Mangoola on 6th June 2013.
Australian Mining: What tools and/or sofware do you use on a daily basis?
Aaron Breiner: Leica GPS on stockpile dozers, hand tools, air tools, hoses, Cytec systems program on control room computers.
Australian Mining: What is the one thing that you are most proud of in your professional life?
Aaron Breiner: Starting at Mangoola.
Australian Mining: Biggest daily challenge?
Aaron Breiner: Working out where everything goes in the plant.
Australian Mining: Biggest career challenge?
Aaron Breiner: Getting out of the contractor side of things and getting a job with Xstrata.
Australian Mining: What is your biggest frustration in your job?
Aaron Breiner: No frustrations, just work through it.
Australian Mining: What is the biggest challenge facing your business?
Aaron Breiner: Industry downturn.
