SCANALYSE will display on Stand B1002 at AIMEX 2007 its world-first MillMapper system that provides in-situ measurement, modelling and management of mill liner maintenance.
MillMapper uses laser scanning to generate a 3D wear liner thickness model that is regularly updated and said to produce accurate, reliable and complete wear information on all internal mill components, facilitating prediction of wear rates and patterns. Its approach is to measure thickness, model wear and provide management tools to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
This is said to provide productivity benefits by reducing downtime from inspection (data collection takes less than five minutes) and maintenance, and increase safety by removing the need to enter the mill.
Scanalyse is looking to develop other products using the same core technology, and to develop an international distribution network.
