Heavyweights join Austmine 2023 conference

Industry leaders Mark Cutifani and Dale Elphinstone have confirmed their involvement in the Austmine 2023 conference.

For over 30 years, Austmine has been one of the nation’s leading not-for-profit industry associations for the Australian mining equipment, technology and services (METS) sector.

It has promised attendees that the conference will focus on thought-provoking sessions, interactive workshops, networking opportunities, leading-edge technologies, open innovation and forward-thinking strategies.

Cutifani and Elphinstone are set to participate in the ‘reflections of industry legends’ session, which will involve a candid discussion about the direction in which the mining industry needs to head in order to ensure a positive legacy for future generations.

Cutifani is a renowned mining leader who has been involved some of the world’s largest mining projects and companies, most recently as the chief executive of Anglo American.

Elphinstone is the founder of the Elphinstone Group, a global mining equipment and technology provider. In 2019, he was recognised with an Officer of the Order of Australia for his distinguished services to the METS sector.

“Their participation in Austmine 2023 reflects the importance of the conference as a platform for industry leaders to come together, share their insights, and chart the future course of the mining industry and METS sector,” Austmine said in the announcement.

“Attendees can look forward to engaging with some of the most influential figures in the global mining industry, making Austmine 2023 an unmissable event.”

The Austmine 2023 conference is expected to have over 70 mining companies, over 100 exhibitors and more than 1000 delegates attending.

The conference will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from May 9–11.
