Hammer rock drills

FURUKAWA will be releasing a new range of hammer rock drills on Stand 305 at AIMEX 2007.

The HD700 series hammers maximise drilling efficiency through to the bottom of the hole by automatically controlling impact force, feed force and rotation force as well as damper pressure.

In addition, the drill rigs themselves feature systems that continuously adapt to the changing rock conditions, increasing both drilling performance and the life of the drill tools while decreasing fuel consumption.

The feed and rotation forces are automatically adjusted in relation to each other and a high output compressor increases flushing air, providing faster drilling, while reducing bit wear and the redrilling of cuttings.

A permutation rotary rod changer enables the operator to add and withdraw rods using a single lever and to select which rods to use ensuring the rods wear evenly helping to reduce operating costs.
