“As the nation deals with the impacts of COVID-19, Australia’s gold industry has united in its response to the situation,” the Gold Industry Group stated.

Gold Industry Group chairman Richard Hayes said the new website is the first of its kind and would help cast a light on the many career opportunities offered by Australia’s gold industry.

“We are proud to unveil this new long-term initiative, which has been created in response to public sentiment and industry feedback,” Hayes said.

“The online hub will streamline the process for Australian job seekers of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in their quest for a career within the gold industry.

“We have always been community focussed and, now more than ever, recognise the need for Gold Jobs.

“Gold Jobs will have a focus on promoting employment and education opportunities in some of Australia’s most remote and regional communities.

The new project adds to the Gold Industry Group’s existing National Gold Education Program, which provides teachers with access to free, interactive gold demonstrations delivered by workers in Australia’s gold industry, as well as exclusive gold resources kits.
