ConiTech has acquired Australian conveyor belt company M.I.R.S. (Mining Industrial Resources Supplies).
The acquisition “strengthens the activities of our group in the Australian conveyor belt market,” the head of the ContiTech conveyor belt group business unit, Hans-Jürgen Duensing, said.
“The location ideally boosts our presence even further in the South Pacific region in particular.”
M.I.R.S. was previously an agent for ConiTech.
The German firm is using the acquisition to also broaden its special-purpose conveyor belts business.
