Regis Resources pit flooded [Images]

A series of images detailing the dramatic flooding of Regis Resources' pits earlier this month.
The miner was forced to suspend operations after severe heavy rains broke the bunds at its open cut pits and filled the Garden Well mine to a depth of more than 40 metres.
“It is estimated that approximately 4.7 million cubic metres of water has flowed into the pit,” Regis said in a company statement.
