QME 2014 Preview: Industrial lighting maintenance

Swivelpole Australia will launch their ground-breaking new industrial lighting maintenance solution, the Swivelpole Retrofit System, on stand A250 at the Queensland Mining & Engineering (QME) Exhibition.

This solution has the potential to reduce maintenance costs by an average of 95 percent, according to industry case studies.

Designed to alleviate the occupational hazards posed by faulty lights in elevated positions, the Swivelpole Retrofit System is an ingenious solution, which minimises repairs costs and reduces maintenance complications.

The Swivelpole Retrofit System's globally patented swivel mechanism eliminates the need for fall arrest systems, ladders and scaffolding when repairing or replacing luminaries.

This mechanism is designed to enable the operator to lower and rotate the light fitting, within minutes, to a safe and appropriate working level; delivering an immediate and ongoing solution.

Non-lowering poles are able to be converted or retro-fitted efficiently and safely, with the Swivelpole Retrofit System, costing the less than half of the cost of a new lamp, when compared to traditional methods.

The major advantages of the Swivelpole luminaire system are the increased productivity, reduced installation requirements and cost-savings, which are present in the following stages of a project's lifecycle specification; determination; installation; termination: inspection; and maintenance.

Swivelpole will also showcase their High-Safety Luminaire Support System that offers a cost effective, safe and simple access solution for regular inspection and maintenance to luminaires on industrial sites.

The ingenious design eliminates the common risks associated with elevated lighting systems by providing a controlled lowering method.

At QME there will be live on site demonstrations of the Swivelpole Retrofit System.
