Atlas Copco redesigns its scroll compressor series

Atlas Copco has completely redesigned its SF family of oil free scroll compressors.

The silent, compact compressors now come with more efficient motors and advanced controllers, Atlas Copco says.

"The new, in-house designed 5.5 kW scroll element allows for a new 6 kW model as well as 10 bar variants throughout the range," the company stated.

Dubbed the SF+ series, it is equipped with Elektronikon Mk5, Atlas' latest compressor controller.

The SF comes with a IE3 Premium Efficiency motor with IP55 class F insulation, suitable for harsh conditions.

Atlas Copco has also introduced a new 5.5 kW scroll element, an in-house design, that allows the range to be expanded with a 6 kW model and 8 as well as 10 bar variants on the whole range.

It has also introduced a new canopy design for SF Mono, dubbed the 'cool canopy'. This provides more breathing space and ensures increased ventilation, cooling flow, and lower element and outlet temperatures.
