Bringing world-leading knowledge to Iron Ore Conference 2021

AusIMM, together with CSIRO are thrilled to be hosting the upcoming Iron Ore Conference in Perth and online from 8-10 November 2021.

The Iron Ore Conference 2021 will focus on sustainability in a changing world while exploring the latest developments in the iron ore industry. With registrations now open, attendees can join in person in Perth, Western Australia and online from anywhere in the world.

This outstanding technical conference will address current and future challenges impacting the technical and management aspects of the iron ore industry along with discussions on genesis, geology, exploration, mining and processing of iron ores, bringing solutions to address the carbon footprint of iron and steel mining.

Iron Ore 2021 will include presentations from industry experts including;

  • Dr Koji Saito, Executive Advisor, Research & Development, Nippon Steel Corporation
  • Gerard Danckert, Head of Energy and Climate Change Centre or Excellence, Rio Tinto
  • Alison Terry, Director Sustainability and Corporate Affairs, Fortescue Metals Group

The selected abstracts are now available on the conference website. Covering a range of themes, including automation and remote operation, exploration and geology, geostatistics and ore reserve estimation, the abstracts provide key insights into the presentations that will be covered in detail at the conference.
