The Department of Mines and Petroleum has temporarily ceased operations at its Mt Magnet office.
The DMP set up a temporary office at the nearby Rural Transaction centre.
Applications normally processed through the Mt Magnet office will now be sent to Meekatharra or Perth.
The offices were forced to move due to renovations, with the Department saying there is no set timeline for the temporary closure as it is awaiting the completion of an independent building assessment.
