The Western Australian Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) has granted Echo Resources a mining lease for the Julius gold project.
Located 70km from Wiluna in WA, the deposit contains a gold resource of over 190,000 ounces grading 2.08g/t gold.
The mining lease approval follows the company’s completion of other requirements including signing agreements with local native title owners.
Echo Resources has also submitted the site’s mining proposal, mine closure plant and clearing permit to the DMP and aims to get approval this quarter.
It is also on track to complete a bankable feasibility study for the Julius project within the coming weeks.
