SRG Global has secured a $95 million civil infrastructure maintenance term contract with Alcoa.
The services will be provided at Alcoa’s Kwinana Alumina Refinery in Western Australia with a contract duration of five years, comprising an initial three-year term plus a two-year option subject to performance KPIs being met.
The scope of work includes civil maintenance services including minor civil works, bauxite residue management and bulk materials handling services at the Kwinana bauxite residue storage, refinery and port facilities.
The contract provides panel membership for the potential provision of civil services (inclusive of capital/construction) work across Alcoa’s mining and refining (including port) sites in Western Australia.
SRG Global managing director David Macgeorge said the significant contract award for SRG Global demonstrated the value of the WBHO Infrastructure acquisition that is now successfully integrated into SRG Global.
“This contract continues a 35-year history on this site and we look forward to continuing to deliver value-engineered services to Alcoa,” he said.
“The contract will support over 100 local jobs and extends our ongoing commitment to the development and employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation throughout the duration of the contract.
“It provides further evidence of SRG Global’s strategic transformation to a high value annuity/recurring services business with specialist capability employing 2700 people globally.”
