In 2013, Garry Rogers Motorsport team manager, Stefan Millard decided to add a 3D printer to the workshop to give engineers and designers a new and complementary way to make prototypes and production parts.
The team needed carbon fiber to produce strong parts that could be used on their race cars, and they needed to withstand high use.
Millard pre-ordered a carbon fiber 3D printer from Markforged a few months later. It is now used to print complex parts – from jigs and fixtures to racecar end-use parts.
