NEXEN has introduced an alternative linear motion technology.
The Roller Pinion System (RPS) is said to provide zero backlash, positional accuracy, unlimited length, high speeds, 99% efficiency, rigidity, low noise, low maintenance, corrosion resistance, and long life.
According to the company, the RPS design eliminates many of the limitations of current linear drive systems including ball screws which are limited by critical speed, cumulative error, vibration, thermal expansion and maintenance.
