Aeris Resources has reported continued strong gold drilling results from its Golden Plateau deposit in Queensland, with multiple high-grade intersections returned across the Main, North and East lodes.
The latest drilling results from the deposit include standout intercepts from the Main lode such as 14.2m at 9.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 172.2m, 2.5m at 8.9g/t gold from 185.3m and 6.7m at 5.2g/t gold from 188.0m.
The company said the results come from leftover mineralisation near old mined-out areas, and that drilling has consistently hit mineralisation where the geological model predicted it would across all lodes tested.
Aeris said this confirms the reliability of its geological model and increases confidence that the mineralisation continues between and around the known zones.
Aeris executive chairman Andre Labuschagne said the consistency of the drilling results reinforces confidence in the remnant potential at Golden Plateau.
“The consistent performance of our geological model continues to impress, with drill holes across the Main, North and East lodes intersecting mineralisation at their predicted positions and delivering some of our strongest results to date,” he said in a statement.
Golden Plateau is located within existing mining leases, approximately 1km north of the Cracow processing facility and 2km east of current underground operations. The deposit historically produced around 850,000 ounces of gold between the 1930s and 1990s.
A total of 33 mineralised lodes have now been interpreted across the deposit, forming the basis of the current drilling program. The program was recently expanded from 6400 metres to approximately 14,000 metres following early encouraging results.
Aeris said an updated mineral resource estimate is targeted for the first half of FY27, which will support an economic assessment of the Golden Plateau project.
