ABIGROUP Contractors Pty Ltd has expanded its operations by launching in Western Australia.
“The decision to move west is a result of the state’s continuing boom, which offers many opportunities for Abigroup in our key areas of operation including civil infrastructure and mining works,” said Abigroup’s Managing Director Peter Brecht.
“Our discussions with government authorities and other clients have indicated that a contractor of Abigroup’s calibre will be a welcome addition to the state’s construction landscape so we look forward to a strong start.”
Maurice Dessauvagie has been appointed to the role of West Australian General Manager.
Maurice brings with him over 25 years of civil construction experience in the state, much of that on large civil and mining infrastructure projects.
“I’m very excited about establishing Abigroup in WA. With the amount of work being undertaken we believe there is plenty of opportunity for a new player in the state,” said Dessauvagie.
“The move is highly supported by Abigroup’s corporate team and with the experience, resources and expertise at our disposal we’re confident that over time we will become one of the state’s major infrastructure providers.”
Abigroup Contractors is one of Australia’s largest civil engineering and building companies. Works are undertaken in areas including roads, bridges, dams, rail, water and mining infrastructure.
