AIMEX 2007 will be the biggest meeting of the mining technology services industry and mining professionals ever held in Australia, with over 450 contracted exhibitors from Australia and abroad.
An unprecedented number of new products and services will be on show across 17,000 m2.
A broad spectrum of mining technology, services and equipment will be on show, from diggers and dumpers, to the latest in mine planning software and safety related products.
Mine site vehicles will be represented with Jaws Buckets and Attachments displaying information about its new dump body manufacturing facility, and Hedweld Engineering launching its new ATACH project for safely handling all driveline components.
Powertrans will release its own-design prime mover ‘tractor unit’, the company’s first offering of prime movers.
Several suppliers of tyres and related products have announced new releases at AIMEX. Bearcat Tyres is revealing its Solideal Loadmaster L-3 loader 17.5-25 20 ply hard rock lug tyre.
RUD Chains will show its new XHD 22mm range, the FELS Crown X22, designed for the largest wheel loaders currently used in front-line open-cut mine pit digging (such as the Cat 994H and Komatsu WA1200-3) in lower abrasion applications.
“The planned presence of tyre suppliers from China and the recent signing of a major mining equipment manufacturer from India are sure to be of considerable interest with the current critical tyre shortage,” exhibition coordinator John Gorton said.
“International interest in participating at AIMEX 2007 continues to be strong, with pavilions from Russia, Poland and Brazil joining a host of other international exhibitors who have already confirmed,” he said.
Sandvik’s displays at AIMEX will feature several pieces of equipment, including its Series 2500 Roof Bolter and DD530-A60C Cabin hydraulic jumbo, as well as presentations and information on dust suppression systems, telescopic chutes and the latest in automation technology and equipment.
Alimak Hek will promote its range of lifts designed for hazardous areas with explosive atmospheres, and are suitable for many above and below ground applications.
Mining software and digital technology presentations will be available for attendees, with Ampcontrol displaying its new Group 1 Intrinsically Safe Ethernet Switch and Protocol Converter, developed as part of the CSIRO NEXSYS.
GijimaAst will exhibit underground survey solutions and 3D visualizations of EPS Gantt Chart mining schedules with the release two new software products, mine Markup and EPS Viz.
Modular Mining Systems will display their latest advancements in mining technology, including modules for their GPS-guided fleet management software, and mine management software.
Mine planning software developers will be on hand to explain the benefits of faster access to real-time information, improved integration with information systems, and simplified administration, as well as how new software solutions can provide greater customisation, increased flexibility and ease-of-use.
Industry Associations have been working closely with event organisers to ensure a broad reach of national and international exhibitors.
The Australian Mining Equipment Technology and Services (Austmine), Mining Equipment Suppliers Council of Australia (MESCA), Construction and Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG) and Austrade have attracted buyer delegations and exhibitors from China, India, Chile and New Caledonia.
New monitoring and maintenance services and technology will be revealed at the exhibition, with ALS Tribology introducing a new oil analysis test package that incorporates a trend of filter patch images.
Wear Applications and Management Services (WAMS) will be displaying its regimented ‘Process of Improvement’ program which identifies and details issues that are then used to form the basis of an agreed improvement program.
Alfa Laval will showcase its purpose-built equipment for cleaning oil, and Furmanite will be promoting its specialist on-site machining capabilities and its role in on-site maintenance for reclaimers, shovels and draglines.
Meet the buyer
Conference coordinators, Reed Exhibitions, will be coordinating a complimentary ‘meet the buyer’ service for exhibitors and buyers.
The service will facilitate meetings between buyers and exhibitors at the conference, with a number of on-site facilities reserved for scheduled meetings.
The program’s aim is to add value to purchasing staff attending the exhibition.
